Riding the coast of Turkey – 5695 km

In Bursa I got hosted by a great Kurdish fellow that goes by the name of Ibrahim and respond to; iiii! He was also planning to go for a motorcycletrip, so we decided to ride the coastline together.

While waiting for our shared departure, I decided to take the bike out for an evening ride. Then I saw a little dirt road that I just had to take. At some point it got a bit too dark to see the road and my wheel got caught in a ditch. Perry tumbled down and decided to lay down on the ground, where I could only laugh and enjoy the beautiful sunset at the horizon. After a few minutes of enjoying the sight I slowly dragged the front wheel out of the ditch, pushed Perry in his usual vertical position and rode of again.

Around the evening we found a nice campsite near Erdek. There I also learned that my bike does not like sandy beaches alot and tend to dig itself in
After setting up our tents we decided to take a nice dip in the water while enjoying the beautiful sunset. It feels so great to take a dive into the fresh salty water after a long day of riding!
Ofcourse at the campsite we easily made more friends. I love the open and hospitality nature of the Turksih people.
On our second drivingday we drove towards Assos.

A quick shot from outside of Troy. From the outside the area looked more like an amusementpark and the entry was actually priced as such. Hence we decided to take a quick snapshot and ride of toward Canakkale

I saw this muddy road and thought of giving it a shot.
The result of the road was my tires completly covered with a thick layer of the slimmy mud, destroying every piece traction
